Objective: To continue to excel in the arts by creating inventive graphics and engaging stories.
  • I continue to strive to create stories and art that are compelling to the audience and am looking to expand my experience through my own work and others. I’m doing this through writing and illustrating my own stories, comic strips, illustration, and graphic design.

Highlights/Awards

  • Published in Sugar Ninjas Sweet Comic and Illustration Anthology, Volume 2. (2010)
  • Published in Savannah College of Art and Design’s “Artemis: A Student Literary Journal 2004” for the short story “Mousie
  • Worked on short animation, “Skoffee”(2003-2004), with a small team. I was responsible for the majority of character designs and animated the “Boss’s Heart Explode Scene”, where I did lead and in-between animation. I also did clean-up work, ink and paint, and compositing on the short. It has been screened at film festivals across the US and can be seen on Youtube.

  • I won 1st place for poster design for the Alamance County Fair in 2005, another piece placed 3rd in an exhibit in 1998, and a poem entitled “My Moon” placed 2nd in 1997.

Skills
  • Excellent eye for anatomy and representing the human form, both realistically and figuratively.
  • Solid knowledge of color theory and use of colors.
  • Am knowledgeable with many different drawing and painting techniques, such as Chiaroscuro, Hatching, Pointillism, Palette Knife work, etc.
  • Developed writing through Fiction Theory work shop where I gained knowledge of character study, plotting, and gearing writing to target specific audiences.

-2005-Present - Writing and illustrating “The Thousand Year Dream”(tentative title) for future publication.
-Illustrating a calendar to be released for the upcoming year.

-Painted promotional art for the cinemas. Recreating studio characters(Shrek, Spiderman, etc) and original art for temporary display on their glass doors to promote the respective films.

Duties include: managing employees, seeing to the needs of customers, cashing out registers, counting the safe, answering phones, filling out necessary paper work.
-Lead Projectionist

Duties include: Loading movies, starting films on time, making sure movies are running properly, maintenance on projectors, building/breaking down movies, training new projectionist. I have worked with 35mm Strong and Christy Projectors and have now began working with Barco Digital Projectors.

Duties included: Inspecting printing for flaws or defects, cleaning printing screens, touching up shirts placing them on drier. Also helped in the embroidery room.
